Enjoy priority lift access as you receive personalised coaching tailored to your goals, whether you're focusing on getting started on day 1, terrain park trick, skills on groomers, or tackling the off piste. Private lessons allow you to maximise your lesson time and boost your confidence in any area of the mountain you choose. Come away feeling like a level above.

Lesson meeting point:

All privates start and finish outside the Kids Cabin at Tūroa base.

Time/dates:

Private lessons run daily from 9am.

Lesson ability level:

All lesson participants must be at the same level.

• Level 1:You’ve never been on skis or a snowboard before. Focus will be on learning the basics and finding your feet. A First Timer package is recommended to get you started.
• Level 2: You’re comfortable with the basics, can stop confidently, and are working on turning and speed control in learner areas, preparing for Green runs.
• Level 3: You can control your speed and turn both ways on green runs. You’ll be working on gaining more control and confidence to help progress to blue runs.
• Level 4: Comfortable on green and blue runs. You’re refining your parallel turns (skis) or edge control (snowboard) and are eager to explore more terrain.
• Level 5: Ready to take your skills to the next level. Confidently skiing or snowboarding groomed black runs, starting to explore off-piste terrain, and interested in refining skills and hitting the terrain park.
• Level 6: You confidently ski or snowboard all over the mountain and already explore off-piste terrain. Your focus is on taking these skills further, refining technique and confidence, and tackling steeper, more demanding slopes.

Please note:

• Lift passes and rental equipment are not included and are required to participate.
• In the case of a private lesson booking on a day where the mountain is closed you will be contacted to reschedule or receive credit, please see all terms and conditions here.
• We recommend 1 hour lessons for Level 1 or 2 only so that you can make the most of the timeslot by staying on the Alpine Meadow beginners area.
